How to Establish a Daily Drawing Practice
May 17, 2022First things first...
If you are just getting back into art, brand new to making art, or a seasoned artist - we strongly encourage this practice of daily drawing. It can bring a world of learning and inspiration to artists at any level.
How To:
1. Decide the time of day that consistently works for you. For example, soon after you wake up or in the evening after dinner.
2. Decide on materials. You could make your daily drawing with ink or colored pencil or pen. Stick to one material for a month.
3. Decide on a time frame. Do you want to spend 5 minutes? Do you have time for 10 to 20?
4. Catalogue what you create. Pin the drawings to a wall or keep it in a notebook so you can look back on them often.
5. Commit! Commit to your daily practice and be consistent.
6. Share! Share what you draw with people in your life or with us.
