This class will address blood sugar and the importance of avoiding blood sugar spikes and crashes. We will discuss ways of keeping blood sugar stable through diet and how to eat foods in ways that avoid blood sugar spikes. This class includes a cooking demonstration for vegan curry with basmati rice.

This class will give you an idea of how your nutrition needs can change as you age and why. Madison will share helpful advice on how to optimize your nutrition and health, followed by a cooking demonstration for steel cuts oats with seeds and seasonal fruit.

Nia is a mind-body-spirit fitness routine designed to provide a whole body workout that promotes flexibility, agility, mobility, strength and stability. This class we will explore the different movement forms of martial arts, dance arts, and healing arts. We will pay attention to the sensations and feelings we have in different parts of the body through movement.

In the final class of this 4-part series on abstract art, we will tie together the concepts we have learned exploring the relationship between abstract visual art and the written word. Chase will further expand on artists' use of notebooks in their practice and finally, lead us on a journey of starting our own artist notebook. This is a great class for beginners as an introduction to abstract art.

In the third class of this 4-part series on abstract art, we will be introduced to the notebook as a site of experimentation and exploration of art and life. Reviewing the concepts we learned in part 1 and 2, Chase will lead us in creative exercises in our notebooks while sharing ways artists historically have used notebooks in their practice. In the second class of this 4-part series on abstract art, we will explore the role of color in abstract art through an introduction to color theory. We will learn about abstract artists' use of color theory and be led through exercising in color and form. This is a great class for beginners as an introduction to abstract art.

In the first class of this 4-part series on abstract art, we will be introduced to contemporary artists working in abstraction while learning basic concepts of point, line, and shape. Utilizing these concepts, Chase will lead us in expressive drawing exercises. This is a great class for beginners as an introduction to abstract art.

This class is a movement practice while sitting in a chair, meant to calm the nervous system and connect with your mind/body.

This class explores themes of Surrealism, dreams, and landscapes. We will learn about the history of Surrealism. Starting with a sketch of a dream will prepare us for creating a finished acrylic painting on canvas.

Come move, imagine, and play with us as we create an original character. Learn to act, pose and move like your character. Then, discover your character’s psychology through writing prompts. This is sure to be a silly and playful experience.

We get inspired by the words and images around us in this class on found poetry. First by writing a poem using found words and then through a collage using found images. This class can be done with most any supplies you have at home and is for all levels.

Using the concept of a still life from visual art, we will translate a collection of objects into poetry. This class will train your eye to see beyond the object - to all that has happened to create it.

Bring your imagination to this class on storywriting. Adriana will walk you through writing warm-ups and how to set-up a story. Then, we will breakdown the main parts of a story, building towards a climactic moment and a moral. This is a nice class to do after you’ve done the “Character Creation” class with Adriana, although it is not required or necessary. Let’s get writing!

In this class we will create art from objects we find in our home and on a nature walk. Learn skills focused on the art process, let ideas flow, and construct/de-construct temporary creations. This class is taught in both English and Spanish and can be taken by English or Spanish speakers. It is an excellent class for art beginners.

We will create stories and poems by eliminating words from a news article. This form of creating will then inform our reflections on our own stories and histories.

Design and build your own theatrical mask with a variety of materials around the home. We will explore the meanings and associations we have with masks and flex our creativity in the process. Come play!

Connect with the present moment and your experience of your own body, utilizing poetry as the language to communicate through. Body mapping and the haiku form are meant for participants of all levels.

Join this exploration of the revolutionary 20th century art movement: Cubism. Using multiple perspectives and geometric shapes, we’ll create three works with a variety of materials. Along the way we’ll learn about the history of Cubism and the synthetic and analytic styles. This class gives you a framework to create works from your imagination and unique perspective.

Join a special crafting journey with Adriana! Through learning new collage skills we will create a gratitude box that inspires us and then write a series of letters and gratitude statements. Let’s work together to make space for gratitude in our lives.

This class is an exploration of legs and feet. Through movement, writing, and drawing we will create awareness around our legs and feet.

Come eat with your eyes! In this class we will create multiple still lifes, all while training ourselves in observational techniques. We’ll also learn about light, contrast, and shadow, as well as, classic and pop art style still lifes in the process. Let’s get drawing!
